brian goo, DDS
Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Goo was born and raised in Southern California. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He moved back to Southern California and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California. Here, he was placed on the Dean’s List, inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, and awarded the Pierre Fauchard Senior Student Award. While attending dental school, he was also involved in community outreach programs, including the USC Mobile Dental Clinic. To pursue his passion in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Goo continued his training in Oakland, where he completed his 4-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Highland General Hospital. During his training, Dr. Goo and his colleagues treated a variety of oral and maxillofacial conditions at both Highland Hospital and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, ranging from facial trauma to head and neck infections. He gained further surgical training at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center. Dr. Goo is committed to providing the highest quality of care, ethics and compassion to his patient’s and community.
Dr. Goo is an American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) candidate. He is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and Berkeley Dental Society. He maintains certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.
